Speed Dating, Art Hub Deptford

A joint exhibition with artist, Katherine Bailey at Art Hub Deptford. ‘Speed Dating’ was a collaborative project that explores expectation versus reality, the female experience and how horrendous dating in London can be. By using materials we interact with daily and working within the fictional narrative of Speed Dating, the installation fuses fantasy and expectation with the mundane and the everyday, creating an exaggerated experience of the female body as an object of scrutiny. As a tonic, the subtext of the installation is a celebration of female friendship and the solace that can be found within that defiant relationship.
